U2 Bio
U2 was formed in 1978 in Dublin, Ireland. The band began rehearsing together while attending Dublin's Mount Temple High School. The band members include, Paul "Bono" Hewson on vocals, Dave "The Edge" Evans on guitar, Adam Clayton on bass, and Larry Mullen Jr. on drums. U2's debut album, was released in 1980 and titled Boy. In 1985, U2 was proclaimed, "Band of the Eighties" by Rolling Stone Magazine. In 1987, the band made it big with the release of the Joshua Tree, which won the group two grammy's.
