The Who Bio

The Who began in 1962 as The Detours. They consisted of Roger Daultrey on guitar, John Entwistle on bass, Pete Townshend on guitar, Doug Sandom on Drums, and Colin Dawon on vocals. Colin was soon out of the band and in 1964 they changed their name to The Who. That same year Doug was encouraged to leave the band and then his position was taken over by Keith Moon. Since then, the Who has lost two members of the band in Keith Moon and John Entwistle. But, Roger Daultry and Pete Townshend have kept on going.
