Jimmy Buffett Bio

Jimmy Buffett was born December 25, 1946 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After Buffett graduated the University of Southern Mississippi in 1969, he found his musical beginnings in New Orleans, where he performed folk songs in night clubs. He then relocated to Nashville and worked as a writer for Billboard magazine. He also got a record deal with Barnaby Records and recorded his first album, Down to Earth. He formed his own band in 1975 called the Coral Reefer Band.
