James Taylor Bio

James Taylor was born to Dr. Isaac and Gertrude Taylor. He originally studied to play cello, but, in 1960 started playing guitar. At the age of 16, James dropped out of school and formed a band with his brother Alex. In 1968, James released a debut solo album. All but one of his albums was certified gold or platinum and his 1976 greates hits album was certified diamond. He has recently release a second greatest hits album.
