Elton John Bio

Elton John was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947 in Pinner, England. At the age of 17 he formed a band called the Bluesology and in 1966, the band was hired to play as Long John Baldry's band. He auditioned for Liberty Records, but was turned down. Six months later, he was introduced to Bernie Taupin and the two began collaborating on songs.
