No Doubt Bio

No Doubt was formed in 1987 by vocalist John Spence and the brother-sister combination of keyboardist Eric Stefani and secondary vocalist Gwen Stefani. Later that year, bassist Tony Kanal joined the band. In 1987, Spence commited suicide and Gwen eventually took over vocals. In 1989, guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer, Adrian Young came on board. In 1994, No Doubt broke out with their album, Tragic Kingdom. Before work on the album started, Eric Stefani left the band to be an animator for the Simpsons.
