Dr. Dre Bio

Dr. Dre was born Andre Young in 1965. He was raised by his mother and grandmother in a Compton housing project. He became interested in hip-hop in the early 80's and recorded several demos. He met up with Ice Cube and collaborated with him. This led to the forming of N.W.A. Then, in 1992, Dr. Dre went out on his own and released his multi-platinum album, The Chronic. Dre's most recent album came out in 1999 and was titled, Dr Dre 2001.
